To be considered for this role, and due to ongoing growth, this transformation program is within the higher education sector which requires a talented Iteration Manager to help drive the agile delivery of technical projects and releases. You will collaborate with a team of developers and University wide stakeholders to ensure the team continuously delivers high quality solutions for the business in a timely manner and in alignment with the strategic priorities.

For this specific engagement you will work as part of our client’s customer team alongside some of the brightest and best people in technology who are undertaking large-scale Digital Transformation that includes:

• A large-scale migration of applications to AWS cloud platform
• Modernisation (replatform and refactor) of several applications using cloud native services.
• Migration of Isilon on-premises file storage to cloud
• Development of the customers Digital Experience Platform to support their Vision of delivering a premier higher education experience.
• Development of Data and Analytics platform through delivery of prioritised use cases.
• Embedding an effective and long-lasting change across the organisation through human centred Organisational Change Management approaches.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Plan, manage and execute the delivery of in-house developed systems with the development team and product owners in accordance with priorities of the business
• Work with Product Owners to define and manage backlogs, conduct iteration and release planning, manage agile boards, lead daily stand-ups, retrospectives, showcases and other agile ceremonies
• Demonstrate your capability in defining Epics and stories and managing delivery of large projects in releases designed to deliver incremental value to the business
• Provide agile guidance and mentoring to development team/s with a focus on performance improvement through regular feedback and review
• Apply effective controls to planning and development activities, ensuring the production of well-engineered, high-quality solutions that deliver measurable business value while balancing a short-term delivery focus with achieving longer term objectives
• Identify, escalate, and communicate potential problems, risks and issues and ensure prompt follow-up work is done to facilitate a favourable outcome
• Coordinate and manage software change management
• Prioritise and manage resolution of application defects in accordance with the ITIL framework
• Derive, measure and report on key performance metrics for the team to relevant stakeholders
• Define, maintain, and adhere to planning, development, testing and change management processes and policies
• Work with the Development Manager to continuously improve team processes, policies, and performance in line with industry best practice
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure release objectives and scope are well defined, detailed delivery plans are managed and expectations are understood, realistic and met
• Partner with the Development Manager in the design, development, and improvement of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ensure all software development projects are delivered and adhere to the SDLC and Solution Delivery frameworks

You will have proven and strong experience in Scrum and Agile related concepts, approaches, tools and practices including:

• Extensive experience as an Iteration Manager, and/or Scrum Master, IT Project Manager / Agile Delivery Lead
• AWS Transformation Project experience is ideal
• Recent end to end Agile implementation experience and delivery of Agile principals and methodology across large complex enterprises
• Direct experience in working with technical engineers, project managers, business analysts, product owners, test leads and other senior stakeholders throughout implementation of agile
• Demonstrated experience in working with development teams and ability to optimise and improve all involved processes
• Experience across leading daily stand-ups, Agile Ceremonies and Sprint planning as a Scrum Master

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineer, Math or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years enterprise IT experience

• Be a technical expert and have strong domain knowledge in AWS cloud implementation
